YSTB, or Yayasan Suluh Terang Bangsa Foundation, was formally established by the Directorate General of General Law Administration for the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Jakarta on August 25th, 2011.
This foundation is established on the island of Batam, Indonesia in full accordance with relevant Indonesian law governing the establishment and operations of a non-profit social entity.
Yayasan Suluh Terang Bangsa, or the YSTB Foundation, was founded in 2010 on the island of Batam, Indonesia. We created this foundation with two goals in mind, to provide “Food for the Lost,” and to “Give Abundant Life.”
The nation of Indonesia, although rapidly developing and growing each year, is home to many broken families, difficult living situations, and children in need of true love and care. Through the passion, focus, and efforts of the YSTB Foundation, we seek to truly transform this nation for the better by raising up generations of children made whole through intentional and sincere love, care, empowerment, education, and character development.
Throughout the island of Batam, the Riau Archipelago and Riau provinces, as well as East Timor, we support and operate numerous transition houses, foster homes, a clinic, as well as schools that seek to provide both a hope and a future to countless children and marginalized across Indonesia.
Our ever-growing team of dedicated staff, participants, and volunteers enable us to turn our big picture vision into a beautiful reality, as more and more children come out of broken homes and difficult situations and experience the life, love, and empowerment that they need to be strong, whole, and value-adding members of Indonesian society, slowly transforming the nation one step at a time.

We believe that dignity is an inherent right of every individual, whether child or adult, street kid, prisoner, lawyer, or CEO. Every person deserves to experience sincere love, care, hope, and opportunity. Our belief in this core philosophy is what sparks, fuels, and inspires our every YSTB activity.
We believe that dignity has the power to bring about true transformation, not only in the lives of the many children helped through our social initiatives, but, greater still, to the entire nation of Indonesia.

We realize that a vision like this does not come about without much passion, dedication, and hard work. At YSTB, we are inspired, driven, and motivated to do whatever it takes to turn our vision statement into a firm and tangible reality.
The end goal of every YSTB activity is to see real transformation happen in the lives of individuals, families, communities, and nations. We are confident that our efforts to equip, empower, educate, develop, and holistically care for children in need across Indonesia both can, and will, accomplish this end goal.
Our team of dedicated staff members, participants, and volunteers are committed to working tirelessly to see meaningful transformation take place within Indonesian hearts, lives, and communities on a national scale.
